“Now Mickey in the Night Kitchen cried ~COCK-A-DOODLE DOO!~ and slid down the slide”- Sendack
So many of my favorite memories take place in kitchens. What an amazing room a kitchen is! It’s not simply a place to store and prepare food (Dienu,) but a place where guests congregate, jokes are told, secrets are spoken in hushed voices, lessons are taught, tears are cried. And children hang from apron strings. The kiddos! Oh, that’s the magical stuff, isn’t it? Baking cookies, concocting “potions,” coloring, crafting, mending hurt bodies and feelings. Yet even when one grows weary of children’s antics, they can retreat to the kitchen for a cocktail, a cookie, or some tea.
And doesn’t this all deserve to be recorded in some way?
